Not only are the Roman Baths one of the most visited attractions in the UK but they are also one of the most well-preserved sites left by the Ancient Romans, with a history stretching back to 60AD. The Roman Baths give a fascinating insight into Ancient Roman architecture, religion, culture and history, all topics that are part of the National Curriculum. The Roman Baths have free educational audio guides designed especially for children too so your children will remain entertained on their trip around Roman Baths. If you are interested in visiting the Roman Baths with your children, read this GoStudent guide to exploring the Roman Baths.

1Plan the timing of your visit

Because of Covid-19, many beloved attractions have had to be closed. Moreover, because some of the Roman Baths are outdoors, they can be closed subject to weather problems. According to the website, the opening times from January to March 2022 are open from 9.30 am-5.30 pm (last entry 4.30 pm) on weekdays and 9 am to 6 pm on weekends (last entry 5 pm). In the half-term, which they class as 19 February to 27th February 2022, the Roman Baths are open from 9 am to 6 pm (last entry 5 pm).

Do note that the Roman Baths are normally open all days of the year except for the 25th and 26th of December.
